My boyfriend, a meteorologist, fully admits to loving storm chasing more than me. In fact he spent over $300 storm chasing this past spring and he’s wanting to go chasing even more when the summer ridge passes. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem, but he’s jobless and I’m paying for all the bills and groceries because he’s “too broke to help.” (He was also too broke to write me a birthday card as well apparently.) I’m trying to be understanding, but considering I’m working two jobs on top of going to school, things are starting to get to me. My goal is to talk to him about helping me out, not so much financially, but at least around the house as well as suggest that maybe he should stop chasing, at least until he has some income. I don’t want to seem like an overly controlling girlfriend, but I also don’t want him to think he’s going to bum off me forever. How would you approach the situation. Thanks!
